Central Long Island Chapter Celebrates International Surfing Day June 20th @ Gilgo Beach NY 5:30 PM

Memorial Paddle Out for Gerry Leibowitz at Gilgo Beach 5:30-Dark The Central Long Island Surfrider Foundation would like to celebrate the life of Gerry Leibowitz an honor his love for his wife Heidi and the Big Blue with a memorial paddle out.Gerry was an integral part of the Central Long Island Chapter, and he was always available to lend a smile and helping hand. we want to show
our thanks him for his years of service to the Chapter. June 20th also marks the 30th wedding anniversary of Gerry and his wife Heidi. Heidi served as secretary and Gerry and Heidi had planned to paddle out in celebration of this milestone. Boards and lifeguards will be available so please come down and celebrate this amazing day with us!  If you have an extra board please bring it and bring your own picnic dinner, chairs and beach gear. International Surfing Day is coming up on June 20th! International Surfing Day was founded so that surfers and surf enthusiasts from all over the globe have an opportunity to celebrate the great sport of surfing. From paddle-outs to beach clean-ups, surf movie nights to mangrove restorations, surfers across the world will be coming together on June 20th to celebrate the sport of surfing and give something back to the oceans, waves and beaches that give us all so much.On ONE day only, June 20th, you can make a donation and we'll send you one of our special ISD packages. We sold out last year, so make sure you don't miss out!

Also, make sure and tune in to our 8-hour Web-a-thon program taking place on International Surfing Day, where we'll be joined by a host of pro-surfers, celebrities, environmental heroes and special musical guests, including Donavon Frankenreiter, Le Blorr, Makua Rothman and more!
