Hey all,

Mark your calendars…we’ve got a few events coming up that you should
probably plan on attending:

July 13-Donovan Frankenreiter at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh. Surfrider will
be there doing our thing. You should be there doing yours. Tickets on
sale now. Visit www.donavonf.com/shows.html for more info.

July 24-Beach Cleanup followed by a “Sunset Social.” 6:00 pm at Gilgo
Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for new members to come out
and clean up the mess left by savage beachgoers while meeting and
bonding with fellow ocean enthusiasts. Light refreshments will be
available, but feel free to bring more. Friends and family are
welcome! ***please note the new time of 6:00 pm as opposed to the
originally posted 4:00 pm***

July 29-Sundown Surf Shop Proudly Presents “The Union Express” at the
Bellmore Theater, Thursday July 29th @ 7:15PM. Sundown is stoked to
have the opportunity to bring this film showing to the Long Island
surf community. “The Union Express” is the first installment in a
three-part documentary series by award winning director Josh Landan.
The first film stars pro surfer / songwriter Timmy Curran as a tour
guide down the West Coast, stopping at various Amtrak stations to surf
with local and accompanying surfers. The film blends surfing,
interviews, musical performance and lifestyle commentary on the
culture and communities they encounter. It is shot on 16 mm and
features: Dane Reynolds, Taylor Knox, Rob Machado, Damien Hobgood, Tom
Curren, Cory Lopez, Mike Losness, Keith Malloy, Ben Bourgeois,
Nathaniel Curran, Conner Coffin, Dillon Perillo, Nate Tyler and Pascal
Stansfield.

After the movie, join the Sundown crew at a special after party at
Effin Gruvin Bar on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore. Drink specials and
more surf movies to keep everyone’s stoke level up.

Tickets are now on Sale. You can purchase tickets at:

Sundown Surf Shop, 2726 Hempstead Turnpike, Levittown NY 11756

for all that they do for us.

That is all for now. Stay cool and as always, pray for surf.
