Ban Intentional Balloon Releases in Long Beach, NY

Balloons are a common item picked up on Long Island beaches during beach cleanups. The Central Long Island Chapter wants to ban the intentional release of balloons in Long Beach, NY. Chapter activists got the idea in 2018 and approached the City Council later in the year. An ordinance should be introduced in early 2019.
